My family, aaarrrggghhhh!

My family really piss me off sometimes, got some bad news from one of them yesterday and it put me on tilt, lost loads and got myself even more wound up. I'm feeling so unmotivated!

Gonna take a break from playing for a couple of days, I think i might re-read one of my poker books to refresh myself and get my mind back on the job.

The Bank Holiday Weekend

Well over the weekend I have done not so good, busted on Will Hill, busted on Everest, reloaded on Everest then busted again. Woke up this morning with the flu so as you could guess i'm really not in the best shape or frame of mind for poker.

I'm gonna start reading Bigger Deal by Anthony Holden, it's more of a story about playing poker than a book of how to play poker, reviews seem to be good.

The past few days...

Since my last post I have done fairly well, I made a nice amount playing on Everest then decided to cash some out, this could have taken a bit of time since I selected the Cheque option but then decided to sign up to Neteller and use that (the lady that phoned me from neteller to confirm my account sounded very sexy). It is useful to use neteller as nearly all poker sites have it as an option and I'm gonna use it as a central holding for my bankroll.

Bet on Man City v Man Utd, I got 3-1 odds on William Hill on city and that helped alittle to increase my roll on WillHill Poker. I dont support either team, i'm Villa throu and throu, we got a respectable draw against the geordies.

Played with friends on sunday on the Poker Stars playmoney tables, I think this has a negative effect on my real money games because monday I played terrible and lost a chunk of my bankroll, this has been recouped yesterday so it's not all bad.

The Weekend...and then!

Played a little torney on NPP and came second which was ok, then didn't play any more on saturday as had a BBQ coz the weather was excellent. On sunday went and did the usual thing of drinking with some mates then setting up our laptops in the bar (it's got wifi) and all logging on to Poker Stars to play on the play money tables against each other, there aint no money involved but bragging rights for the week makes it fun, unfortunately I wont be bragging as I got completely shreaded by everyone.

Today I played another torney on NPP and won it so that was nice, will be playing a few of these over the next few days as they have very soft opponents, also gonna play a torney on Will Hill, check back for the results.

Not a good day...

Well i've played about 4 tornaments on will hill today, two were Head Hunters and two were normal freezeouts, finished out of the money on all of them but played fairly well exept the last one as mind was else where.

Last night I played cash game on Everest and did fairly well was able double my original stake back and alittle extra but still feel I should have done better on will hill today. Gonna try another couple torneys on will hill tomorrow so I hope to have better results to put up here.

I think the reason I haven't played so well as I could have today is because my daughter is flying off to canada tomorrow with her mum and it always effects my mental abilities when I don't see her for awhile, she will be back in 10 days so should be ok.

Hopefully running good for a while!

last night I played on William Hill and Everest, I won a sit'n'go on will hill for the first time in a while so that was a good start and well over due, then went onto everest to play a little cash game and ended up being in profit on that even thou the cards I was getting was utter rubbish.

I am working my way throu a few books at the moment but the most notable is Phil Hellmuth's Play Poker Like The Pro's and John Vorhaus Killer Online Poker 2, both are great and I have learnt a fare bit from them so my game should keep improving.

The Start...

So this is the start of my blog, I hope you find the comming posts to be of value in some small way.

My name is Thadeas but everyone calls me Tad, I live in Hastings on the south coast in the UK. This blog will mostly consist of my thoughts, rants and hopefully some brag's about my poker playing and some other snippets about what i'm doing in my life.

I play poker online for between 2-6 hours a day, I use William Hill Poker, Poker Stars, Empire Poker, Full Tilt Poker and Everest Poker. My username is VIPokerUK on all of them except Everest where it is vil1ain. I have had abit of success and prefer playing Sit'n'Go's as a whole but do venture into the odd cash game (never won much at cash games thou). I'm a member of the Pocket Five's forum and a moderator on the UK Poker Talk forum - www.ukpokertalk.co.uk.
